Ron Dalton, (Wayne High School Band Teacher from 1968 to 1986) has established a scholarship to recognize a graduating senior who has participated in the Fine Arts during their years at Wayne High School. The scholarship will be an annual award of $1000. Students who have participated in Dramatic Arts (i.e. Drama, One-Act Plays, Speech, Art), Instrumental Music (i.e. Concert/Marching Band, Pep band, Jazz Band, District Music Contest solo, small groups All State Band,) and Vocal Music (i.e. Mixed Choir, Girls Glee, Boys Choir, Jazz Choir, All-State District Music Contest, Musical) are eligible. This is the first scholarship to recognize students participation in the Fine Arts through the Wayne Community Schools Foundation.
Wayne Community Schools Foundation received a donation for WHS Mock Trial Program from Bob & Deb Ensz. WHS had three teams competing this year. The Blue Team qualified for State competition in December. They received 3rd place overall, highest any Wayne school team has ever done. Picture is this years team members with Coach Josh Johnson. Nursing Scholarship Established
The Wayne Community Schools Foundation received a $20,000 gift from an anonymous donor to fund scholarships at Wayne High School for graduates that pursue the Nursing Profession. Pictured are Foundation Director, Rusty Parker and Foundation Board President, Mike Varley. The gift was given to honor the Nurses from the WHS graduating class of 1974.

19th KEVIN J MURRAY MEMORIAL FISHING TOURNAMENT CHECK PRESENTATION
Linda and Dennis Murray representing the Sherry Murray Family presenting a check from the 19th Kevin J Murray Memorial Fishing Tournament held last August 26th at Lewis and Clark Lake to Foundation Director Rusty Parker. The Kevin J Murray Memorial Fishing Tournament has donated $195,000 over the past 19 years to the Wayne Community Schools Foundation.
